Waring runners were crowned repeat champions of the Miles for Mary 5k on Saturday in Marblehead. The team, organized by Senior Julia Kautz, helped raise money for brain cancer research. All race proceeds, totalling more than $4000, were donated directly to Mass General Hospital.
Will Stomberg, captain of Waring’s cross country team, led Waring with a sixth-place overall finish. Close behind were Waring Athletic Director Mike Kersker and a trio of varsity girl soccer players–Molly Cruickshank, Elizabeth Patrick, and Julia Kautz.
Congratulations to all who participated in the worthy cause.
