Elective Program

Monday from 3:30 to 5:00pm is Waring's elective period. Elective offerings will be shared with students at the beginning of each semester. This is truly intended to be elective time, so if a student does not wish to participate, he/she may leave Waring at 3:20pm. If a student is not participating in an elective but needs to stay at school until 5:00pm for carpool reasons, they may attend a study room on campus.

Lunch and Snacks

  • Teenagers are always hungry! Please pack a lunch and some healthy snacks.
  • All students will have a 45-minute lunch period and two breaks each day.
  • Tuesdays are Tutorial Lunches, so please pack a lunch that does not need to be heated in a microwave.

Core Supplies
Core students (grades 6 and 7) will be supplied with notebooks for all subjects, in addition to a few other items. Click here to see what additional supplies should be purchased.

Notebooks
Older students (grades 8-12) are free to purchase whatever style of notebook they prefer. A selection of the popular French notebooks and packs of filler paper that are used by Core will be available for older students to purchase at the beginning of the school year.

Groups 1-5 Supplies
Waring does not have an itemized list of required school supplies for grades 8-12. We recommend each student have one notebook per class (at least five, but your student may find a few extras to be helpful), a loose leaf graph-paper notebook, a sketchbook, an assignment book, pens, and pencils. Teachers may provide more specific items that they would like students to have during the first week of school.

Health Information
Before the beginning of each school year, Magnus Health Records sends a welcome email to all guardians with instructions to update their student's account. State law prohibits Waring from allowing students to attend school (including Camping Trip and pre-season sports) before this information has been submitted.

Billing and Payment Information
Billing and payment information is accessed by logging in to Smart Tuition.
