Waring Hosts Canadian International School of Bejing Debate Team

02/29/2016

The Canadian International School of Bejing sent a team of 6 debaters and two coaches to America to participate in debate competitions in New York City and at Harvard University. During their time in America they were hosted by Waring teachers and families who welcomed them both on campus and into their homes. While at Waring our guests participated in All-School Meeting, took part in debate classes, and toured the Peabody Essex Museum.

James Cusack, Head of Debate at the Canadian International School of Beijing, said “the opportunity to visit and learn from a school as renowned as the Waring School is a unique opportunity. I believe it will help both the schools and the students build connections and understanding spanning the globe.” Thank you to all the families and teachers, especially Waring Debate Coach Tim Averill, who made this experience possible!
