Waring had six students represented at the Sixth District Congressional Art Show and Competition at Montserrat College of Art's 301 Cabot Street Gallery, that was on view from March 15-17. A closing reception and award ceremony with Congressman Seth Moulton was held on Saturday, March 17. Elle Zymba was named "Best of Waring School” by the jurors, and awarded a scholarship for study at Montserrat’s Pre-College Program.

This competition is open to high school students, grades 10-12, from public and private schools and home-schooled students from the 6th District of Massachusetts. Each winner will be presented with a citation from Congressman Moulton and varying levels of scholarships to Montserrat’s Summer Pre-College Program. The grand prize winning piece will be sent to Washington, DC where it will hang in the Capitol building for one year along with winners from other Congressional districts across the country.

This year Waring was represented by Tassy Chen, Konrad Ellis, Elizabeth Patrick, Ursula Siegfried, Betta Tham, and Elle Zymba.
