Music for Food Soirée Raises $1400 for Beverly Bootstraps

12/16/2014

On Friday, December 12, Waring teamed up with Music for Food in a Soirée that raised over $1400 for Beverly Bootstraps. Mateo Lincoln ('15) along with several others, helped to organize the concert and fundraising efforts.
The concert showcased students of all ages and experience and was a smash hit. Highlights included appearances from new students, including Richard Stuart's ('18) performance of "A Man from La Mancha" and Ilana Frost's ('18) own piano composition. The concert concluded with 2 impressive ensembles, one student led.

Along with Mateo Lincoln, many other students helped make the evening possible: Henry Mitchell ran lights, Chloe Hershenson made food, Christianna Moestue made posters, and Luca Barendsen-Rossi handled donations. Cordelia Tapping also helped us with an après-midi lunchtime concert on December 11.

The Soirée was presented in collaboration with Music for Food, a musician-led initiative for local-hunger relief. To learn more, visit www.musicforfoodboston.org.
