Meet Joshua:
Joshua is a tutor and teaches humanities, writing, and ceramics at Waring. He holds a BA degree in literature from Gordon College and a MFA degree in creative writing from Seattle Pacific University. He has served as the chair of Waring's Writing Department since 2018. While on sabbatical in 2016, he began a voting precinct-based writers group among people from his neighborhood in Gloucester, MA, with whom he continues to workshop on a weekly basis. When asked to summarize his teaching philosophy, he said "I love and learn and keep on loving and keep on learning. I like to encourage others to do the same." Joshua has taught at Waring since 2008.
