Meet Christiane:
Christiane is Waring's French Department Chair and Core Writing Coordinator. For her outstanding contributions over many years to promote the French language and Francophone culture, the Prime Minister of France, upon the recommendation of the French Ministry of Education, awarded Christiane the distinction of Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Academiques (Knight in the Order of the French Academic Palms) in 2018. The award is France's oldest non-military decoration and was first presented by Napoleon I in 1808. Christiane holds BA and MA degrees from the Université Paris-Sorbonne. She enjoys watching movies, traveling, translation, art history, and working out. Christiane joined Waring in 1990.
