Carey comes to Waring with over 25 years working as an athletic trainer in the healthcare industry. Carey spent a good portion of her career as the Head Athletic Trainer at Salem State University where she was responsible for overseeing all student-athlete medical care. In addition, she supervised a staff of four and worked closely with both the medical director and concussion specialist. Over the past several years Carey has moved into the industrial setting providing injury prevention strategies, wellness material and ergonomic interventions to utility workers. Carey’s passion for helping others stay healthy and active is demonstrated by her interactions and relationships developed. A native of Winchester, Carey lives in Salem. Carey is a member of the Salem State Hall of Fame class of 2004 for women’s soccer, and her contributions to the athletic programs as an athletic training student during her undergraduate studies.
