Brendan (’04) is a passionate educator and storyteller who brings deep experience in literature, theater, and creative writing to his teaching. He holds a BA in Literary Arts from Brown University and an MFA in Playwriting from the Yale School of Drama, where he studied under Sarah Ruhl and Suzan-Lori Parks. Brendan has taught writing and humanities at the secondary and university levels, including at Waring, Rutgers, Yale, and the University of British Columbia. He loves helping students find their voices on the page and in discussion. When he’s not teaching, Brendan is a playwright. His work includes original plays, an opera libretto, adaptations, and translations.
