Marika Whitaker
Dean of Community Life
Marika is a drawing and color media instructor in Waring’s Art Department. She believes teaching is a mode of learning and discovery and that being in the art classroom is an essential kind of being-together with others in the process of making. Marika is also a singer and songwriter and a lover of hiking, gender studies, books, crossword puzzles, puns, honesty, good coffee, and soft things. She lives in Rowley with her partner Jonathan, their two kids, Mikaila and Solomon, and their dog Alexei Fyodorovich Karamazov. Marika joined Waring in 2017.
