Schedule a Tour

Rocinante Support

Rocinante is a calendar and scheduling application created for Waring School faculty and staff.

The app allows faculty members to identify their teaching schedule using the initials shown in Waring’s master schedule, review recognized classes and rooms, and add selected events to a calendar.

Getting Started

  1. Open Rocinante and enter your faculty initials exactly as they appear in the Waring master schedule.
  2. Select Find and review the recognized classes, sections, times, and rooms.
  3. Choose the classes and optional Waring schedule items you wish to include.
  4. Grant calendar access when requested.
  5. Select a destination calendar.
  6. Choose Add / Update Calendar or export and share an .ics file.

We recommend creating a dedicated calendar for Rocinante events. This makes the imported schedule easy to review, update, hide, or remove.

Calendar Access

Rocinante requires calendar permission only when adding, updating, or removing events in a calendar selected by the user.

To review or change calendar access on an iPhone or iPad, open:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → Rocinante

Updating a Schedule

Rocinante can replace prior events that it created. Before importing an updated schedule, confirm that the intended destination calendar and schedule options are selected.

Removing Events

The Manage Prior Imports section can remove classes, Waring events, or all events previously added by Rocinante to the selected calendar.

Rocinante does not remove events that were created independently in another application.

Important Scheduling Notice

Rocinante is provided as a convenience. It is not a substitute for reviewing Waring School’s official master schedule, announcements, ad hoc schedules, room changes, or faculty reassignments.
