Waring Varsity Soccer Teams Both Find Success in Opener

09/19/2018

The boys opened up their season with a 3-0 win over Chapel Hill Chauncey Hall. Waring’s goal scorers were sophomores Cole Sauder, Brad Lyman, and senior Paul Taylor.

The back four of Anand Fedele, Gyanni Wasp, Henry Symes, and Paul Taylor did a fantastic job locking out CHCH from creating opportunities throughout the game. Waring’s next opponent is Boston Trinity Academy on Wednesday, September 19 at Waring.

The girls played a recent newcomer to the league, Covenant Christian Academy. Although Waring won 7-0, there were lots of positives for both teams to take away from the game. Waring had multiple goal scorers from Seniors Elizabeth Patrick, Julia Kautz, Elle Zymba, Sophomore Illaria Bardini, and eighth graders Isabella Fedele and Olive Sauder. The girls next game will be on Saturday, September 22 against Landmark immediately following Convocation.
