Waring Parents' Group Joins PIN

The Waring Parents' Group is now a member of PIN (Parents' Independent School Network). PIN members consist of private schools all over New England. The network was formed so that parents of independent school students would be able to share ideas and promote worthy programs. PIN sponsors various workshops for parent association leaders as well as interesting speakers for all parents. Below is information regarding their next speaker.

The PIN Upper School Division invites you to join Lynne Griffin, an author and nationally recognized expert on parenting and family life, as she discusses the topic of "Empowering your Teen to make Healthy Decisions." The meeting will take place on Friday, February 26th at Middlesex School in Concord. Coffee will be served at 9:15 and the meeting will begin promptly at 9:30. We will conclude at 11:00.

Ms Griffin will address how you can talk to your teen about tough subjects, communicate to build resilience, aligning yourself with your teen's needs, as well as when to appropriately raise red flags about his or her emotional well-being.
