Girls Varsity Soccer Earns Number Four Seed in NEPSAC Class D Tournament
The Waring girls varsity soccer team has been selected to participate in the NEPSAC Class D New England Small School Soccer Tournament for the first time since 2013.
With wins against out-of-class opponents as well as a second-place finish in the IGC conference, the NEPSAC Class D Committee awarded Waring a number four seed in the Tournament. Waring will play fifth-seed The Williams School of New London, Connecticut, at home on Wednesday, November 14, at 2:00pm. The winner will move on to play Saturday against the winner of the first-vs-eighth-seed game.
The Waring School offers a highly demanding college-preparatory education, for grades 6-12, which stresses liberal arts in the setting of a supportive school community. The Waring atmosphere is one in which both teachers and students want to learn and believe that school is not an end in itself but is the beginning of a lifelong learning process.
