Junior Ella Bellin has crossed the finish line as the fastest girl in the MBIL for the first two meets of the 2017 season. She has yet to get into her end of season form, which saw her achieve her personal best of 20:58 last year on the Cambridge School of Weston’s course in Jericho Forest, but she feels good about her latest time of 22:15.

“Personally, I feel like I am off to a pretty strong start this year, says Bellin, but my excitement at this time lies with our team’s potential once we get everyone healthy. Like with any new beginnings, there is lots of work to do.”

Co-Coach Kyra Morris said of the latest meet, “Waring had a strong second meet in the mist yesterday on the hilly course at Gann Academy. Turner Britz again finished first for Waring (22:58). First year runners Jake Ulwick (23:59) and Nick Van Alen (24:57) both had strong performances. Sophia Palumbo (25:27) was the fourth female to finish, improving her time from last year's race at Gann by two minutes.”
