Welcome Prospective Families,

As Director of Admissions, I would like to thank you for considering Waring, and invite you to visit. You will experience firsthand Waring's demanding and powerful learning environment for students in grades six to twelve. Our diverse student body includes students from the North Shore of Massachusetts, as well as international students from China, Ireland and Italy.

An individual tour includes opportunities to observe classes and to meet with me and other members of the Admissions Office.

Waring offers a full program of intellectual, aesthetic, and physical activities for its students. Students develop their own unique voices through self expression. We challenge them to take risks and engage with subjects and activities outside their comfort zone. Daily all-school meetings, mixed-age tutorials, the annual Camping Trip and the shared language of French build a strong community of students and faculty.

Our teachers embody our mission to develop lifelong learners. Their innovative and progressive approach to the traditional curriculum challenges students to grapple with questions that will prepare them to be global citizens.

Classes at Waring are not graded. Students receive in-depth narratives evaluating their progress as they make their way through their courses. From our exchange program in France to team sports, music lessons and chorus on campus, Waring students opt into a rich experience that is only optional at other schools. The results speak for themselves.  Waring students enter the most selective colleges and universities with ease because they are critical thinkers who have learned to engage in thoughtful discussion – qualities they will draw on throughout their lives.

Please join us this Fall for a peek, un coup d’oeil, of Waring!

Sincerely,

Shelley Morgan
