Waring Senior's Art Exhibited Alongside Professional Artist

01/25/2019

For the next six weeks, at Waring Downtown (290 Cabot St), the artwork of Sarah Malboeuf '19 will hang alongside the abstract oil paintings of local, professional artist Miranda Aisling.

The initiative, organized by Miranda, aims to introduce Waring students to Beverly-area artists who have created a living around art.

"By partnering students with professional artists, it creates a literal, visual pathway to an artistic career," said Miranda. "Students are just starting to think about what they're going to do after high school."

Sarah's art, mostly portraiture, experiments with different materials and levels of abstraction.

"I've been making art my whole life but really honed my skills and vision here at Waring," said Sarah. "I hope my work makes you pause and take a closer look."

Stop by Waring Downtown any day of the week to see Sarah and Miranda's art displayed in the window. On February 28, their artwork will be replaced by the art of another Waring student and a new Beverly artist.

Visit Miranda's website to nominate an artist.
