The Waring Art Connector Project

04/16/2020

Waring’s Art Department launched “The Waring Art Connector Project” just one week ago. Already alumni, students, parents, teachers, trustees, and friends, from Alaska to the Turks and Caicos Islands, have contributed more than 50 pieces of artwork to the collective gallery.

Waring’s Art Department Chair, KB Breiseth, announced the project last week, encouraging the Waring Community to find escape and comfort in making art. By encouraging others to share their art, she hopes to connect people during this challenging time.

“Art seeks to connect, offering us a place to work through ideas, events and feelings,” she said. “It then builds a bridge to others once the work is shared.”

If you would like to participate, upload your artwork here. (Be sure to title your images with your name and date.)
